Description

Is tomato-shaped, and has a pale to bright orange skin and a green leafy “cap” at the top. The flesh is light orange. When almost ripe, the texture is firm and crisp enough to eat out of hand; when fully ripe, the flesh is very soft. The flavor is sweet, and without the astringency of some varieties. Persimmon are typically eaten fresh.
